Whether you left school years ago or are returning after a break, Vcademy's Adult HS meets you where you are. Our one-year program covers the core high school subject areas aligned to GED exam standards, giving you both the knowledge and the credential you need to move forward.
All coursework is asynchronous and self-paced, taught by licensed educators who provide personalized support throughout your journey. By the end of the program, you will be fully prepared to sit for the GED exam.
Your One-Year Path to the GED
The program is organized into two semesters. Each semester builds on the last, ensuring you are fully prepared for the GED by year's end.
Foundation & Core Skills
English Language Arts I
Reading comprehension, grammar, sentence structure, and foundational writing skills.
Mathematical Reasoning I
Number sense, basic algebra, ratios, proportions, and introductory geometry.
U.S. History & Civics
American history, government structures, and civic participation — aligned to GED Social Studies standards.
Life Science
Biology fundamentals, cell structure, ecosystems, and human body systems — aligned to GED Science standards.
Advanced Skills & GED Readiness
English Language Arts II
Extended writing, argument analysis, literary interpretation, and GED extended response preparation.
Mathematical Reasoning II
Advanced algebra, functions, data analysis, and GED math test strategies.
Physical & Earth Science
Physics, chemistry basics, earth science, and space science — completing GED Science coverage.
Economics & World Geography
Economic principles, global geography, and world history — rounding out GED Social Studies preparation.
